We highly recommend Bill and B&A Renovations. Bill has done a wide variety of work for us in the past decade or more, including converting a hallway and closet into a beautiful disability shower, installing a disability ramp and deck, lifting and bracing sagging floor joists, installation of sinks, and laminate flooring, as well as many smaller tasks. He can handle projects of all sizes and coordinates work by other outside teams like electricians seamlessly. He stands by his work and fixes anything that still needs adjustment or is not up to par, or if anything has problems within his warranty period. There is no fighting to make it happen because he takes a lot of pride in his work. Recently, he renovated our entire upstairs as part of an insurance claim. This involved removing and replacing insulation in the attic, the ceilings, walls, and the bathroom, as well as installing laminate flooring. He had to take over from another contractor that did such a horrifically terrible job they ended up bailing from the project, leaving us with walls ripped off and no sink in the bathroom. Bill did a fantastic job! He is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, organized, hard-working, punctual, and thorough. He is great at communicating, touching base at least once a day during the project, often more frequently. We went into this complex project with a pretty clear understanding of what would be happening and when, and then, barring a few supply chain issues, things happened on that schedule. He comes by as needed to follow up with little things as parts come in and as we discuss the other tasks we will eventually be hiring him to help us with as time and budget allow.

First things first, the day I found Bill’s flyer in my mailbox was the end of a 4 years journey of fear that part of my home would collapse on top of me.
In my mind the Angels were saying “call this man, he will look after you.” I did call. Bill Triemstra answered my call, came to my home and viewed the extensive problem I had. The addition to the original home was in desperate need to be torn down and rebuilt, this was not anything I did not already know, as my previous contractor had said the same thing 4 years earlier.
Bill sat down with me and explained step by step what he would do, and asked what I wanted. Bill told me what by-laws we had to follow and the reason for the way my “rebuild” had to be handled, costs were exceedingly fair. Bill and his “crew” were very respectful, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. Bill promised when I asked him “In time to have my Christmas tree in front of the window?” The start date was September 20th and the goal completion date of November 30th, 2021. He finished on the 20th of November 2021.

We needed our bathroom renovated and needed a contractor to do the work. We contacted B&A Renovations Inc. along with 2 others. Bill was here the next day to look at the job and by the end of the day we had a phone call with the estimate. Of the 3 estimates we received, Bill’s was the lowest. He told us the job would take 4 days but was finished in 2 1/2 days. He said everything just fell into place. Bill is friendly, easy to work with and on time to start each morning. He laid down tarps to cover our carpeted stairs and the work area for protection. He took care to make sure nothing was left laying around after each days work ended. B&A Renovations was our last hope. We received their flyer at our door and, after getting frustrated with the service of several other foundation repair companies in Ottawa, we thought we'd try one more company. After our first message left on their voicemail, Bill called us back the same day. In fact, he called us for everything and we found that open communication a welcomed change.
We sent pictures of our situation, Bill let us know immediately that he had looked at them and what he was proposing as a repair (this was the point at which the other companies stopped communicating with us). He kept us informed at every stage and after every conversation with his foundation repair man. We always knew what was going on and Bill always called us when he said he would. There was no guessing, no worrying and no surprises- until the day of the actual repair. It ended up being less work than planned and while Bill could have told us stories about costs etc. and charged us the full amount as quoted, he dropped the cost by about 50%.
In an industry that we found to be very opaque, incredibly frustrating and full of bs, B&A Renovations was an honest, transparent company who came through for us in a timely, respectful manner. We would not hesitate to work with Bill again, or to recommend him to anyone. Thank you for everything!!
This is the fourth time, since 2000, that we’ve contracted Bill and Nathan to do work around our house. We’re again very pleased with the work done for our new kitchen and basement wall & door. The thing we like about B&A Reno is that when there is something additional to do, like our leaky floor from improperly installed dishwasher, a new piece of floor board gets installed without hesitation or budget woes. The plumbing work for the new sink/faucet/dishwasher and new counters/cupboards looks absolutely amazing.
It is refreshing to have an honest to goodness local business that harkens back to the good old days of ‘customer service’. During the kitchen reno, shut-off valves were installed first to allow the family to continue to use the water while the work progressed.

It's hard to find a honest and professional contractor to do some renovations on our homes. I am a senior citizen living on a fixed income, and a while back I realized that the roof of my house had to be re-shingled.
I proceeded to obtain several estimates and B&A Renovations came in with the best offer and got the job, including replacement of the eaves-trough.
I was a bit apprehensive about awarding the job to a contractor, of which I knew so little about it's reputation, (considering the horror stories one hears of all the rip-off artists around).
I was soon to be pleasantly surprised. The work carried out was well done Mr. Bill Triemstra and his team took great pride in their workmanship.
Mid way through the project it was discovered that the one side of the roof needed to have the plywood replaced as well as the shingles. I secretly cringed
